Seer Insights Grant Program

The Seer Insights Grant: Translational Research Edition is a one-time, special opportunity designed to support proteomics research with a clear path to clinical or real-world impact. Through this grant, Seer provides selected researchers with grant for Seer Technology Access Center (STAC) service for a project of up to 160 samples including Proteograph^® Product Suite access, coupled with complimentary access to state-of-the-art mass spectrometry analysis, and up to 80 hours of Seer’s dedicated online bioinformatics support.

This edition is a focused extension of Seer’s annual grant program and aims to support studies that bridge biological insight and patient relevance—enabling innovation in diagnostics, disease mechanisms, biomarker discovery, and more.

Applicants should demonstrate a focus on translational proteomics—projects that connect molecular discovery to clinical, therapeutic, or applied health relevance. All applicants must be affiliated with a recognized research institution or organization within the NA and EMEA territories. Yes—proposals must be aligned with the capabilities of Seer’s Proteograph ONE technology, including analysis of compatible sample types like plasma, serum or CSF. While the previous edition focused only on cardiometabolic and neurology research, this edition welcomes applications from a broader range of translational research areas, including but not limited to:

• Oncology
• Cardiometabolic
• Immunology
• Neurology
• Rare diseases
• Infectious diseases
• Aging and chronic disease

Proposals will be evaluated by a panel of scientific leaders from academia and industry, including members of Seer’s Scientific Advisory Board. The review process will occur on a rolling basis as proposals are received. Equally weighted judging criteria will be:

Scientific Merit:

• Demonstrated expertise and track record of the applicant and the Principal Investigator (PI) in the field of proposed research.
• The level of success achieved in past projects led by the PI, as evaluated through the publication record.
• Alignment of the applicant’s and PI’s expertise with the goals and requirements of the proposed research, particularly within the framework of the Proteograph workflow.

Impact of Research:

• Contribution to advancing knowledge and translating proteomic insights into solutions for clinically significant challenges across human health.
• Originality of the proposed research approach and methodology.
• Establishing clear avenues for translating research findings into practical applications that can benefit both the business sector and healthcare.
• Potential for resulting publications, presentations, and other communications to disseminate findings to the scientific community and beyond.

Alignment of Seer Technology to Proposed Research:

• Concise clarification of the constraints inherent in current proteomics methodologies that hinder the achievement of the research goals.
• Explanation of how Seer technology improves the quality, efficiency, and depth of investigations.

Experimental Approach:

• Clarity and coherence of the proposed research approach.
• Depth of experimental design and analytical methodologies.
• Feasibility of the work plan, considering resources, timeline, and potential challenges.
• Description of how the Seer Proteomics workflow will be utilized to address research questions.

Acknowledging the perceived barriers associated with mass spectrometry proteomics, often viewed as expensive and daunting in data analysis, we seek to break down these barriers and make this powerful technology more accessible. With the Seer Proteograph Product Suite, we offer researchers an opportunity to delve into proteomics without the constraints of cost and complexity, providing superior depth in protein discovery and coverage.

This edition removes barriers to applying advanced proteomics at the translational level. Seer provides not just access to state-of-the-art tools, but also hands-on scientific support to help you:

• Expand into clinically relevant proteomics
• Generate high-quality, publication-ready datasets
• Raise the visibility of your work at major scientific venues

As the final Insights Grant opportunity of 2025, this edition is designed to accelerate translational breakthroughs that matter.

Seer will cover the cost of STAC service, including Proteograph^® sample processing of up to 160 samples, coupled with complimentary access to state-of-the-art mass spectrometry analysis, and up to 80 hours of Seer’s dedicated online bioinformatics support. Samples must be currently available to ship or available by shipment deadline of December 12th, 2025.

Grant Recipients acknowledge and agree that if invited they will participate and present scientific findings at a mutually agreeable Seer workshop in 2026.

Grant Recipients agree if invited to participate in webinars, social videos, and/or digital ads, and to sign Seer’s STAC Terms and Conditions and appearance and likeness release.
