Nanoparticle-Enabled Plasma Proteomics of a Mouse Atherosclerosis Model

Dr. Sasha Singh from Harvard Medical School presents research on plasma proteomics analysis of Ldlr knockout mouse models used to study atherosclerosis. The study utilized SEER’s Proteograph® technology with nanoparticle enrichment to analyze approximately 80 mouse plasma samples, requiring only 70 microliters of plasma per mouse. The research achieved a significant increase in protein identification, going from 1,600 proteins with standard digestion to over 5,000 proteins using nanoparticle enrichment. Key findings include the detection of chemokines, cytokines, and disease-relevant proteins like MMP12, which correlates with human coronary heart disease studies.
